Last Week of Cruiser!

Wow! This summer has flown by and we are already feeling sad, separation anxiety and some early nostalgia! But this upcoming weekend is your time to catch us before the summers end at all of our surrounding favourite HRM spots!

We want you to come and find us on our final weekend to get your names in the draw for the Coachmen Clipper from BlueNose RV, win some free Subway, admire our RAV 4 from O'Regans Toyota and of course fill up on the free ice cold treats from Scotsburn Ice cream!

Sounds like a pretty good plan right?

Well here are our 5 favourite places in Halifax where we will be finishing off our summer at!

Peggys Cove-

Our love for this signature land mark grows and grows every time we visit! It gives you a true taste of Nova Scotia lifestyle and the scenery won't be beat either! We have met so many awesome people here and definitely handed out dozens of Scotsburn Ice cream bars! We will be here on Sunday afternoon reminiscing on all of the ice cream we ate on those rocks!

The Oval-

We loved getting our fit on while learning how to roller skate! It was a lot harder than we anticipated, AND it was almost like they knew we wanted to end our weekend off with a bang! This Saturday they're having a retro skate afternoon and we will be there! With the healthiest ice cream possible from Scotsburn so you don't have to feel guilty indulging after doing a couple laps! And maybe if you're lucky we will bring out our Subway sub suit for one last time!

I heart bikes-

This has been our favourite way to tour the harbour this summer! The breeze blows our hair and we work on our tans while cruising! We also get to camp out near the volley ball courts and get to talk to the stream of traffic that goes by! We will be here Saturday morning, with the ballot box to win the Coachmen and Clipper!

Point Pleasant Park-

This might be Delaney's all time favourite spot, because she gets to hang out with all the beautiful pups that are out with their owners enjoying the breath taking park! We have spent many afternoons here handing out doggy treats and Subways gift cards! We cant wait to spend one last morning in the cruiser this Sunday!

Lawrence Town-

Our trusty steed aka our RAV 4 from O'Regans Toyota always gets us there with out a doubt and lets us watch the surfers and dream of one day being that talented. By far this has been our favourite beach this summer and has been a great spot to meet a lot of friends! Don't miss us when we are here Saturday evening handing out after dinner Scotsburn ice cream treats!

We can't wait to see you this weekend!

WHY you need to spot our cruiser before the summer ends...

Okay so there's only technically two weeks left of our summer and we're freaking out!!! So far, this summer has been crazy fun! We've met so many people, gone to so many place and eaten so much ice cream… sorry not sorry.

If you are a C100 listener and haven't met up with our cruiser yet you NEED to!
Here are four reasons WHY you need to spot our RAV4 before the summer ends…

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) WE GIVE OUT ICE CREAM, Scotsburn ice cream (the best) to be exact) like all of the time. But this isn't just your plain ice cream we are giving out Scotsburn's Smart Indulgence Bars! What is that? You might ask. Well it's ice cream that tastes better not simply because of it's awesome quality but because it's healthier for you!

We give out five different kinds (you need to try them all):
The Caramel Greek Yogurt Bar --- this is great for athletes, with a mere 110 calories it also contains 5 grams of protein! The bikers and swimmers we've met so far this summer don't just like them they LOVE these bars.

Also there's the Raspberry Ripple Yogurt Bar --- Don't ask Jhordan about this one! She'll go on forever about how it's her favourite ever and it tastes like cheese cake… not gonna lie it does. We may end up eating them for breakfast once and awhile… okay maybe like everyday.

There's the Ice Cream Sandwiches--- you would think this would be just the kids' favourite but NO adults LOVE these. Many folks have told us they make them feel nostalgic. Let's be real would doesn't love ice cream bars.

2) WE WILL GIVE YOU FREE SUBWAY GIFT CARDS!! So here's the deal, we go to one Subway  location everyday and give out free Subway. Honestly, we've eaten Subway everyday all summer and we still crave it and love it. Subway gives us so many options to make our meals healthy as well as tasty and the combinations are endless!

Jhordan's favourite sub for the summer is STEAK wraps! She likes to mix up her sub each day but this one never fails to satisfy her cravings! As for myself (Delaney) the chicken bacon wrap has been my go to sub! We occasionally like to treat ourselves to some avocado (it's totally worth the extra cents amount)!

3) WE HAVE THE COOLEST CAR EVER. If you live under a rock and haven't heard yet WE LOVE OUR RAV4 from O'Regans Toyota. Seriously, we live in this car and wouldn't have it any other way. The heated seats always make our rainy days more cozy while the air conditioning does it's job when its a scorcher! The folks at O'Regans definitely set us up with the best car ever for this job. Another plus side to our vehicle is it's back cam accessory! Sometimes we are at crowded events and this option makes it a lot easier to back up cautiously!

Lastly, we go to O'Regans every week for an ice cream party and let me tell you the staff there are the biggest sweet hearts! We always hear the best stories and have tons of laughs! If you want to meet the nicest people on the planet and buy an amazing new car HEAD THERE :)

4) Last but not least… WE ARE GIVING AWAY A BRAND NEW 2016 CAMPER. If you spot our vehicle you could have the chance to fill out a ballot for the 2016 Coachmen Clipper Camper from Bluenose RV. This camper is amazing!!! It's as simple as spotting us and writing down your name and phone number and at the end of the summer you might just get a phone call saying you're the winner! The camper has loads of rooms, it's made for the whole family and honestly who wouldn't want this prize! Jhordan and I wish we could enter… oh well we can pretend we'll live in our RAV4 forever!

So hopefully you will spot the cruiser before the summer ends so you can get in on all of this fun stuff! HOW do you find us? You might ask. It's as easy as tuning into C100 daily for updates on where we'll be :) We'll be out and about Wednesday! Stay tuned :)

Top places to go RVing in Halifax

Okay, we are OBSSED with our coachmen clipper and we want you to be as well! So what better way to inspire you than showing you awesome pictures of it and giving you ideas on where to take it.

All of these places are in our own back yard which is one of the many reasons why Nova Scotia is the best!

1. Oven's National Park: This place deserves an A+++ for scenery! Make sure to check it out, lots of great hiking and photo opportunites to make some memories with the family!

2. Graves Island Provincial Park: This one may be a little bit of a drive, but long drives with the family can be made fun with road trip games and of course C100! And plus you can relax in an RV post road trip!

3. Rissers Beach Provincial Park: Once again a bit of a drive but think of all the beautiful trails and beach time you can have once you get there!

4.Yogi Bears Campground: The kids will LOVE this one! Theres lots of things for them to do and hey! youre in the valley so maybe leave them with a baby sitter while you sneak off to the vineyards for some wine time!

We hope you love the clipper as much as we do! We can't wait to see who wins on August 31st !!

Kick off to Pride

Hey All!

Pride week is here! And are we ever excited that we got to kick it off in true Queen style!!

One of the things that pops into our heads when we think of Drag Queens is their incredibly talented lip syncing skills.. Trust us its a millions times harder than you think.

We met so many amazing people and Jhordan even had the honours being on the judging panel!

We kicked off the show with our own rendition of "You're the one that I want" from one of our favourite movies "Grease" and we're thinking that maybe we should leave most of the dancing to Sandy and Danny.

This was just one of the few amazing pride events that are going on in HRM and this upcoming week is jammed packed! Including the big parade on Saturday, you definitely will not want to miss that!
PS. a HUGE congrats goes out to Axel who claimed the title of lip sync champion.. BTW we weren't kidding when we said we wanted dance lessons.

OH CANADA!

This past Canada day was a TIME! We had a blast celebrating with everyone, and honouring this GREAT country we live in.

You guys made us feel like celebrities during the parade! There were so many smiling faces and excited kiddies to see us.. well maybe it was our friends Bruno Mars and Ed Sheeran on the side of the Subway Summer Cruiser. (That was probably more like it because who doesn't love "Uptown funk"?!?!)

We also got to make fools of ourselves and attempt to help run a children's zumba class on stage. We may not of been born with rhythm but there were so many little ones who were having a blast so we decided to take a lesson from them and just dance like we were 4 years old again. We also got to take one of the coolest selfies.. Who has the opportunity to take a selfie with hundreds of people!?

Later on that night we had the honour of hosting the Bedford days Canada day celebration! There were so many amazing acts that performed including "Big Fish" who played the widest range of music, we thought they were just pulling our leg when they were describing their band. It was like having an iPod on shuffle and listening to hits from almost every decade.

We are already making a count down for next year! We can't wait!

Garden party fit for a Princess

WOW! Does the SPCA (The Nova Scotia Society for the Protection of Cruelty of Animals) knows how to make a party fit for royalty. We got to hang out with some of the prettiest princess in the HRM area.

It was a sold out Garden party that had an exclusive guest list consisting of Elsa, Ana, Rapunzel, Merida, Tiana and of course we had to have a Fairy Godmother! Everything had so much thought put into the day, from the "Frozen" themed cake to a glitter walk way throughout the park.

Elsa and Ana used their powerful pipes to open the party with several songs from "Frozen" including a sing-along version of the famous "Let it Go." After that there were crafts and face painting.. even target practice with Merida.

We made sure to bring pink princess ice cream for the lovely princess' and prince's that were there. Little did they know.. we brought the Scotsburn frozen yogurt from the Smart Indulgence line that is low cal, low sugar content and overall as healthy as ice cream gets! Your welcome parents!

Week 4 of the C100 Subway Summer Cruiser

Another week has come and gone and WOW was it a busy one!

Friday and Saturday we had the privilege of joining all the military families and enjoying DND family days! It was an absolute blast, and definitely a great way to show thanks to the families who give up time with their loved ones so they can serve our country!

We brought along tons of Scotsburn ice-cream with us because Friday and Saturday were true summer days and everyone needed a cold treat to cool them down! There so many fun things to do after the tasty ice-cream was finished with, We got to experience a boat ride of a life time and discovered what bubble boy must of felt like!

We also kept busy with the 30th annual Halifax Greek fest, and both of us are already dreaming of next years and yelling OPA! every chance we get. What an amazing community! The culture experience was amazing, we got to see performances of traditional greek dancing, indulge in delicious greek food and actually feel as if the Orthodox Greek church on Purcells Cove rd. was by the water in Greece.

Sunday we spent all day in the Valley, blasting music for the first ever Brigadoon's Wine and Dash at L'acadie Vineyards. This was insane and bot of us were insanely jealous of all the participants! They got to do a 10 mile run/ walk to visit 4 different vineyards to have some taste testing and food samples. All for a Brigadoon fundraiser to help raise awareness and funds for the amazing Camp!

As quickly as this last week went, it will be even faster that we're back driving around the community giving you a chance to win a brand new RV from BlueNose RV and the chance to get a subway lunch on C100! Because we want people to love their subs as much as we do

Full Time Hours!!

Hey everyone!!

We LOVE going to community events in HRM district because a) we're social butterflies and love to interact with everyone b) we love seeing communities come together to celebrate an event and finally c) usually there is a bouncy castle involved that we will take full advantage of!

That being said we are heading into our full time schedule for the summer (even though it hasn't been feeling like summer, are we right!?!) but we need you're help filling our schedule for the next few months!

We want to hear all about your runs, your community fairs, your street parties, even a friend of a friend of yours who's having a bbq to raise money for charity! Visit the community events page on the C100 website to fill us in, and we will try to make it to every single one of them!

Week 3 of the C100 Subway Summer Cruiser

The end of the weekend is never fun for anyone, everyone has to go back to work for the week. But for us its even more upsetting because we have to take a break from the station and all of the wonderful people we get to meet. Because let's face it we may just have one of the best jobs around, who wouldn't want to drive around meet new people and hand out free stuff!!

Luckily for us this weekend was so jammed packed of things we had to do, the joy that we got from doing all of our events will keep us running!

Friday we had a little bit of a road trip day! We travelled down to meet our friends at O'Regans on Kempt Road, We had the music blasting and may have devoured some of the cinnamon buns they were serving! But hey, we brought Scotsburn ice-cream so that equals out right?

After that we cranked up the radio (C100 of course) put down the windows and headed out on the wide open road to visit our good friends at BlueNose RV! The drive out to Bridgewater was breath taking, but the RV lot itself was pretty magnificent who knew there were so many different kind of Campers/Trailers/RV's!! We spent our time hanging out in the Coachman Clipper we are balloting off this summer and found out the answers to the most common question you guy's have been asking!!

1) Yes you need to tow the Coachmen Clipper it is not a drivable RV
2) No the sides do not pop out for more bed space
3) Yes it is just as fantastic as we have been describing
4) and finally Yes this ballot box is something YOU NEED to be entered into!! (Its an amazing trailer, it's even better than Delaney's apartment)

For everyone participating in the Boys and Girls Capitol One Race for Kids..... You rock! Everyone was so happy and willing to tough out the rain for the cause. And for those of you who took Scotsburn ice-cream at our check-in, you guys are the true ice-cream heroes! If you are willing to indulge in the cold frozen bar of heavenly goodness in the pouring down rain you deserve some sort of dedication award!

Later that day we had the pleasure of meeting the founder of East Coast Lifestyle Alex at his store grand opening. The store was lined up around the building waiting to be some of the first people inside the brand new store! We hung out with fine guys of Flip Burger who were handing out the East Coast Lifestyle burger to all of the customers and we brought the dessert!

Next on the agenda we headed out to the Prospect Community centre to help ring in their 5th anniversary! Their community may just be one of the nicest communities in all of HRM, everyone was so friendly and proud of the growth of their community.

Sunday the Sun graced us with it's presence thankfully!! We headed out to Kidney Walk at De'Wolfe park first thing in the morning. We got the absolute pleasure of meeting Greg, who is an avid part of the Kidney Foundation of Halifax and we were so happy he took the time to tell us his transplant story! He was one of the lucky ones to receive a kidney from a very generous donor, and that donor went on to save 8 more people with his organs! It was such an inspirational story that brightened up our Sunday morning and gave us all those good feelings!

We jumped back in the Subway Summer Cruiser and headed down to the water front for the rest of the morning to take part in the Gutsy walk for Chrons and Colitis disease! They had lots for the participants to do and even the people walking past. Our favourite part was definitely the photo booth they had.. or maybe the live music! All the talented musicians that played made it a tough call!! It was such a fun afternoon, we hung out by the water front getting to talk with many brave people currently finding ways to deal with the horrible disease, handing out ice-cream and just taking in the scenery!

After that we headed down to the Portland Multifest street party, and if we could close our eyes and imagine what a street party would look like.. this definitely surpassed it! What a great way to get you community out and meeting their neighbours! It was so much fun!

After each weekend we both come away feeling inspired and empowered by all of the amazing people we meet. We can't thank you guys enough for managing to make our day every single time we are out at an event! Is it next weekend yet?
