Week 2 of the C100 Subway summer cruiser.

Hey all!!

Okay lets just take a second to brag about bringing some pretty cool things along with us to events, I mean what kid doesn't love life size jenga! But thanks to our amazing sponsor Subway we are now bringing along the coolest relay game for the kids AND adults.  You can now have two teams of two and challenge each other to see who can build their human sub the fastest (pictures below)! You have to try it out at least once this summer!

Now that we have caught your attention with this awesome game, We just want to thank everyone who we got to meet this weekend for the awesome time! Friday we had a blast hanging out with everyone at the West Jet's official celebration for their first flight to Glasgow Scotland. West Jet totally turned The Grande Parade into a scene out of Braveheart (minus the gory war scenes), there were kilts being worn everywhere, Highland game demonstrations, live music and some Scottish snacks here and there! When the music was done we packed up the Subway summer cruiser and headed to the water front to hand out some Scotsburn ice cream. We broke out the new smart indulgence line that we're giving away this summer, and got to be the messengers bearing good news letting everyone know that the tasty snack is semi healthy for you.. in the way that they're low cal and have protein in them. We loved chatting with all of our friends by the water and we both want to send out a huge congrats to Leslie and Kathy on their engagement and the babies on the way, such an exciting time!

Saturday was go go go from the start, but it was a blast! We got to cheer on all the participants in the Penguin Run, that was one of the fastest 5k run we have ever been to. The volunteer had to tell us it was over, if it wasn't for him we would still be waiting for the end of the race. Everyone made such AMAZING time!! For the ladies who gave our check in spot the nickname of the "half way dance party" we definitely stole the name, we thought it was the best LOL! After we got a couple of selfies with the mascot, we got to stop in at the Monster jam to see the rest of the C100 summer street team family. Jhordan has never felt so small until she got her picture taken by one of those trucks.. they must have one huge step stool for them. We headed back to the station and loaded up the Subway summer cruiser with Scotsburn and headed to three spring fairs at Prospect Road Elementary, Millwood Elementary and last but not least Harriestsfield Elementary.  Everyone was so excited to see us (or to see that we brought ice cream) and made us feel welcome to each and every school! We have so many amazing communities!

Sunday we were sad to see the weekend go, but our hearts were instantly warmed when we showed up bright and early at Dewolfe Park to hang out with the IWK 5km runners! We had the best time playing games with our little friends and loading them up with some cold treats before lunch! After game time was over our good friend Moya from the C100 breakfast club got to take the pleasure of hosting the run and doing the closing ceremonies where they announced that over 30 thousand dollars was raised!! That kind of support gives you a warm fuzzy feeling inside! That afternoon we got to hang out with the runners and walkers of Great Strides for Cystic Fibrosis, we want to thank to organizers for making us feel so special! And kudos to the two ladies who were the only ones to brave our new Subway game, you guys rock and we owe you a million thanks for the great entertainment!

All in all we were super sad to see this weekend end, but now that Monday is around the corner its safe to say after all of these runs and walks we have attended, have inspired us to be able to participate in a 5km like all of you super humans! So we guess that means we have to start training.

xoxo,

Jhordan and Delaney
